CANON MF4430 права на сканер?

из под root работает, под пользователем никак!

в /etc/udev/25-sane.rules все добавлено!!! (вернее оно там было изначально)
дистр кентавр 7, установлен в режиме сервера (sysvinit) доустановлен KDE4.
пользователь - доменный. домен настроен на другом компьютере - построен на том же кентавре 7
все обновлено по сегодня.
Повторюсь из под root - работает!
Где рыть?
